Well Saturday Morning I had just put away all the stuff I had collected from last weekend's garage sales - and who shows up to take me to this wknd's garage sales? It's the Kimster! so off we went - 8:00 a.m.! It turns out we needn't have been so gung-ho. The garage sales did not have much to offer though I did find some of my favourite items: namely; cat blankets, some hand-made lace doilies, lovely boxes and one horrendous plant stand for $1.00.

Yeah...I hear you Kay...so I have phoned Kim to see what she's up to and ..Kim is way busy with homework and exams it's her final week coming up...she sends her apologies. But she has authourized this theme:
Jewellery. It will go til next Sunday and Kim says the draw will be for
MORE THAN JUST ONE Pocket Packet Prize.

RUSH posted her super-sweet mini-book which insired me to have a go at making a tiny book. Mine would not quite hide behind a quarter. And in my hurry to get it posted today, I have forgotten a title!! So if I have time tomorrow I will correct that and repost....but this will have to do for now.
You can barely make it out...but my favourite part is the fake gold leaf around the edges.

I won't post pictures just yet....I don't want to spoil the surprise for everyone else LOL, but I agree with Gerdie....ALL the charms are wonderful...and I can't wait to find time to use them on my art cards. Perhaps the next Pocket Packet Friday will have a suitable theme so I can add one there.

Ok....So I had just picked up my baby kitten (14 yrs old) to hold her in my arms while I allow her to sniff the cold night air, it's about -20 degrees celsius .(I open the door about 3 inches - the cats seem to enjoy this). Anyway, there in the snow is a big red ribbon!!!! LOL ROTF LOL. I had to pull a parka on over my p.j.s and big boots over my bare feet to tromp through the snow to get my Pocket Packet!! I giggled all the way out there and back into the house. It is to laugh!

My 'Rusty' Challenge is finally complete, I've really enjoyed using Kim's inspiring digital page, and the rusty items (some of mine I found during walks along the road). I really got quite involved with this project (carried away actually) and decided to make a whole book.
I was working on another book and some of the pages for that book were not quite right, and since this project was about recycling I decided to reuse those pages and create a second book. That second book has become my Challen…

OHHHH The Hardships.....I had to wait a whole week for my Ephemera Box...but WOW was it ever worth it! Thanks Kim...some of the items I received will fit in nicely with my current 'Rusty Challenge' Project.
And thanks for the great tutorial on Distressing Paper, now that I know how to get unique and fabulous results so easily, distressing will become a common element of my art.
