Many thanks to Kim for the atc. A stunning work of art. I often say that the card looks so much better than the image but this really does. Love the hidden image under the red lace. Thanks

wow, love this. I take it you fiddled with the plaster before it dried and then added the colour.

Know what you mean, I keep trying to do something about the ad-hoc nature of the way I meet my crafting committments ( with the best will in the world) but it never seems to happen - This may give me the shot in the arm that I need, thanks Cathy

ATC SWAP

have you seen the ATC challenge/swap yet. I have been asked if it is on, the answer most definitely is YES!

THe challenge is to make a RED themed atc ( an easy one for our first swap) and it is entered into the swap by posting an scan/photo in the discussion thread in the ACEO/ATC artist group.

So far we have two entries and a couple of promises (?), am I getting despon… Continue

Our first ATC swap

The first ATC swap is now open, and will close on October 24th. I have posted details in the ATC/ACEO group and also posted a set of simple rules which I hope will answer all your questions.

I hope that a good "turn-out" will produce some grea… Continue

ATC swaps

Now we have an official atc/aceo artists' group here on PDA, Kim and I would like to propose that we have a regular swap for all members of this group.

I propose that we have a theme ( set every two weeks) which members use to create one (or more) atc's. The cards will be entered into the swap by posting an image into the relevant thread. At the end of the two week period, partners will be decided at random using www.random.org. It is exciting seeing cards as they are enter… Continue

Thank you John for your welcome - I shall certainly be exploring and finding my 'feet' and way around and hope to join in.

I think it is probably quiet as it is the 'run up' to Thanksgiving and Christmas - lots to do, make and create!

Hi John,
Thanks for the warm welcome! I can't wait until the weekend when I have more time to explore the site. I love the creativity I see so far, there are many talented people here. Your Christmas ATC challenge looks very interesting.

Have a great night!

Thanks for the support, John. I am so glad to have found this site. I hope that my "newbie" attempts at being an artsy old lady will be a worthy addition to this site. I can see that I need to focus and take one step at a time. That's great advice! We have been so blessed to retire in good health and in such a beautiful location. I truly want to share our beautiful Sierra foothills in cloth, paper and photos. Linda E.

Wow! What fun and such comraderie here. I think it will take me a couple of days
going thru the many posts here before I start putting up images. As an antique
restorationist I have found some fun tricks for putting together copy right free
and very pleasant original altered art. Tips and ideas I am happy to share and to
join in with others. Thank you for your immediate encouragement and support.

Thanks - I am a complete amateur, but I'll try to figure out how to post some of them if you promise not to laugh!

I know...I'm waiting for the web designers to finish. Haven't launched it yet, but when happens, it's going to be an online video tutorial website for adult beginning violinists.
