Paper Digital Art and Imagesbykim

Digital images for altered arts, mixed media, collage and crafts

Hi Everyone,

This week the theme is Chalice, Goblet, Cup

Did you drink from the magic cup, or taste a witches brew, or sipped on the poisonous mix?

Are you the renaissance queen looking for youth, or the desperate lover wanting a love potion?

A few weeks back, I made Lydia a special collage sheet and she is creating something from it. ( I think LOL)

Everyone that posts an entry to this weeks challenge will receive a copy of the Chalice, Goblet, Cup collage sheet to use in other projects.

And you still have the chance of being the weekly pocket packet or PDA points winner.

This theme will run until November 5th along with 2 other posted themes.

I look forward to seeing your art creations!

Happy Creating!!!

I'm limited to digital images because I can't get my scanner software working. This was fun to do. I plonked a jug on the page and everything just grew from there.

Yahoo, I actually finished a piece of art today....Kim gave me a sheet of beautiful chalices. It was terribly hard to choose which one I was going to play with, but I finally came up with the design of placing the 'cup' off to the side and that meant that the outlne had to be fairly simple. It would be too difficult to cut out the lines of the other very complicatd cups. Anyway, I was very pleased with the classical effect of this simple design.

Heather, I love your beautiful lively green mug. The cloud's bubble breath is too cute!

No entry for this one, just spent a couple of hours on a digital collage and guess who didn't bother to save as I went along... and guess whose computer crashed. And no - in my software, there is no automatic retrieval. OOOOHHHH I'm as sick as a parrot.

The original photo is Tea Cups It is on Flickr by attribution. Purple is one of my fave colors. I played around with the image added a texture from Apples and Sisters Resources and added the words. If I knew more about using Gimp I would have removed the placemat and just had the cups floating in thin air but anyways... I'm off to go edit some of my own chicken photos now :)

Drink Deep

Well I had something in mind, and this is not exactly it, but I'll count it as a study and maybe redo, I wanted a word cloud and couldn't get wordle to work on my computer .... and my colors were too similar, not enough contrast. And I'm on a layers kick, the words "straws" come out from under the ribbon and I can replace with hope, love, peace, energy, etc.
