Here's a cute little duckling all ready for Halloween. I hope this is ok as an entry. I found that mug at a thrift store and even though my family said I did not need it I convinced them that I just had to have it because I needed a photography prop for Halloween. So it was kinda an early birthday present for me. The next day I took the mug down to the barn for a photography session :) The model is a cute little Muscovy duckling that is sired by Yankee and hatched out of an egg that Apple laid. Apple did all the work herself sitting on the nest hatching them out but she is tame enough I could borrow a duckling for just a little bit with no problem. After I took a few photos I gave her baby right back to her :)

Great image Lynda, I like the dangly tassles, the use of the mesh and the overall composition, the stamps and the leaves creating a circular border for the main image.

I really like this. Just got myself some beeswax and hope I can achieve this wonderful veiled effect you have achieved. Now I have to learn what particle board is?

Heather. I lucked out about a year ago and was given an opportunity to recycle some wooden plaques that would otherwise have gone to the landfill. I got about 200 of them. They are about 8 1/2 x 11 with black painted edges. The backs even have little indents so they can be hung. I call them "particle board". I'm not really sure that that's the correct term but they are made out of sawdust and other small bits of wood and compressed into a really sturdy solid piece of wood-like stuff. This stuff is used to make inexpensive furniture once painted.

Hi Everyone

Okay this week I will admit I picked the winner because, well it was so darn cute and I got to name it.

Cassie will receive 2 more PDA points to add to her collection.

I feel like I have godmother rights or something.
Cassie, I will be looking for regular updates and pics!

Spice is doing well :) She in down in the barn staying warm and dry during all of this nasty cold rain. She's too little to get wet since she isn't all feathered in yet and doesn't have enough oil to repel water so she won't get cold. Actually this rain is so chilly that even the adult ducks that like to play in the rain are not even out playing in the rain. At least it gives me some time indoors to do some digital art :)
