Digital images for altered arts, mixed media, collage and crafts

Hi Everyone,

If you are ready and up for a new swap, this next theme is Christmas.

I know it is hard to think about Christmas now but it will take some time to get them done and returned back to everyone in time for Christmas.

Same rules apply, (see the guidelines on the group home page) you sign up and make 10 charms, they may be all the same or all different. You will receive 10 charms back.

Sign ups will be accepted until Sept 30th and then you will have 2 weeks to get them done.

You may sign up more than once, and we certainly do encourage it. Lydia and I both had 2 sets of charms for the last swap and I will easily sign up twice or even 3 times myself for this Christmas swap.

The charms must must must be in the mail no later than October 15th in order for me to have them mailed back to you in time for Christmas. There will be absolutely no exceptions or excuses.

Happy Creating!

Please sign up here in this post. Deadline is September 30th, 2009

Well, I'm eager to play. Did you post samples of any previous Charm exchanges? I'll scout around on the web to make sure I might know what I'm doing.

Hi Lynda,

Sadly we havent been really good at taking pictures of our charms mostly because everyone wants to be surprised when they get them. But I did manage to find a couple of pictures that Lydia took Picture 1 Picture 2 and I have a post from Sherry's blog of her finished absolutely beautiful charms and how she completed them (oops let the cat outta the bag) to give you some ideas.

(I am also hoping to go to HSC again before the end of September so maybe I could bring some of the ones I have from swaps there and you could meet up with me some how?)

((((hugs))))

I've just spent about an hour looking at charms on line. Fascinating. I'm at HSC on Thursday Mornings for an appointment. My apointment is 9:30 to 10:30. Then I usually have to rush back to work. But I could spend some time between 10:30 and 11ish. I be watching for you at the HSC.
And, I cant thank you enough for inviting me to join your group. I've learned so much already and spent time on blogs and websites that I would never have found on my own. Love ya

I've already ordered some of the parts for my charms!

I'd love to join in with this one too (even though I haven't received my romance charms yet!).

OK, I'm definitely in too! I already know what I'm going to make. I ordered some parts from ebay and FINALLY got them but they turned out to be CRAP. *sigh* But it's OK cuz since then I found something else I'd rather do for Christmas that I like better than my first idea anyways. So 2 weeks is what, Oct. 14? That's good, I have a day off in there if I need it. (See Kim, I'm planniing ahead!!!!)

Just got the latest issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine and there are some wonderful photos of charms that were part of a swap. Fab ideas. Dont remember seeing anything specific to Christmas but WOW it was such eye candy.

Hi Everyone,

Here are the list of participants for the Christmas swap.

Pat
Lynda
Kim
Lydia
Gerdie
Laurie
Cathy
Sherry

Lydia and Gerdie have both volunteered to make a second different set to complete the set of 10. And I am also the 11th for a complete swap so technically you will receive 2 from me too!

(remember, you only send 10 charms unless you want one of your own back as the 11th)

So we are ready to charm away!

Please let me know the status of your charms as soon as you can. Just a reminder to try to get them in the mail by Friday latest.

((((hugs))))
