Pocket Packet Fridays "Blank" makes me Giggle!

Theme is: "Blank" makes me giggle!

Pocket Packet Fridays is a theme oriented art challenge for Fridays

This theme will be very fast paced

Theme will be up on Friday 8 PM closed Sunday at 8 PM CST and a winner will be
chosen from a hat of all of the entries. One entry per member.

Pocket Packet will be mailed on Monday Morning.

Ohhh and what is a pocket packet you ask? It's an ephemera art goodie packet of this and that, bits and pieces in a pocket

This week's theme is "Blank" makes me Giggle n, and you decide how to interpret the theme.

There are no size restrictions, any medium.

You must post your art piece here ON THIS POST, one art item per member and the winner will be chosen out of a hat Sunday night, so there is no pressure on your design, just quick fun!

We will be doing this every Friday from now til middle of May so please come back each week to play again!

Have fun, I look forward to seeing some fabulous art pieces! Please post them here

here's what i posted about my "Blank Book" in the giggle thread-

oh gosh, hope this posts- I've been busily working on this all afternoon-

It's a "blank book" with a cover featuring a set of 'stairs' (play on blank 'stare') three school girls with actual 'blank stares- one holding a 'blank slate'- two blank tags on the book, and 5 dangling ones. On the back cover are blank 'medals' stamped on, and several order forms, (all blank)

This was lots of fun- thanks!

Laurie, Lovely piece, wow, You did this in the afternoon? Gorgeous!

As for posting in the wrong place, LOL don't worry about it. I think everyone is posting in both places now so it doesn't matter. I decided the best way to display them was to go and get them where ever they are and post on the main page anyway.

Besides, it gets everyone surfing on this site so that is a good thing!

what is CYM? EH? LOL and what is the theme on flickr that you were able to enter the same piece?

The way I saw it it says "Y M C Eh?" like YMCA... Makes me giggle! lol

Laurie, I so love your blank book, the idea is clever and the execution is clever and somehow moving. The dark colour and those stairs are mesmerizing. The stairs actually look like they have depth, like they actually go somewhere. I would love to hold this book and slowly go over it. It looks wonderfully textural. Love, love, love the colour.

Sarah, you have got it on the nose. I was thinking about hats (the theme was, "where did you get that hat?") and thought that next time it could be shoes.... so why not make the atc about male headgear. I collected a few examples for inspiration and came across the little fireman. Remembering the song by the Village People, it seemed to fall into place. Bingo an entry for both challenges!

Hi Kim, as I said to someone else from the US ofA, in the UK we tend to read top left to btm right, LOL

LOl Thanks John and Sarah,
I have been racking my brain trying to figure it out, and yet I saw the hats, just couldn't make the connect
Oh course now it makes percfect sense!
