Theme is: "Blank" makes me giggle!

Pocket Packet Fridays is a theme oriented art challenge for Fridays

This theme will be very fast paced

Theme will be up on Friday 8 PM closed Sunday at 8 PM CST and a winner will be
chosen from a hat of all of the entries. One entry per member.

Pocket Packet will be mailed on Monday Morning.

Ohhh and what is a pocket packet you ask? It's an ephemera art goodie packet of this and that, bits and pieces in a pocket

This week's theme is "Blank" makes me Giggle n, and you decide how to interpret the theme.

There are no size restrictions, any medium.

You must post your art piece here ON THIS POST, one art item per member and the winner will be chosen out of a hat Sunday night, so there is no pressure on your design, just quick fun!

We will be doing this every Friday from now til middle of May so please come back each week to play again!

Ok, well I think I interpereted the theme differently. I didn't even think that what we create had to be funny! I took it as what makes me laugh, which is my children, and I did a picture with them in it. Although I'm pretty embarassed about it, I don't like how the faces look (hubby says they look like cartoons) so perhaps it will make you laugh! lol

So sorry about the size of the picture! I added it as an attachment so you can view it properly sized. How do you add pictures to posts without them being oversized?

Here is my entry for this weeks Pocket Packet. I took the theme VERY literally! This piece is called "Banana Hammock" for the Pocket Packet, "'Blank' makes me giggle."

I hope everyone gets a good chuckle from this. I, personally, LOOOOOVE IT! Banana hammocks are also joke between my mom and I!

Well the story behind the idea for this pocket packet is that mom (Pat) and I were shopping one day, and we were in Marshall's (which is like TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, etc) and we were in the back of the store where the home goods and things are, and on one of the end caps there was a metal fruit basket. I looked at mom and said, "Hey look... a banana hammock!" I meant in purely the sense that it was a metal hammock for bananas... However, AS SOON as those words had left my mouth I regretted it for she BURST into laughter. It took me a split second to realize that she took the statement "banana hammock" to mean the hammock of fabric for a man's banana. So now, there are random times when mom and I will look at each other and one of us will say "Banana hammock" and then we'll just laugh and giggle for quite a while... It's great!
