Paper Digital Art and Imagesbykim

Digital images for altered arts, mixed media, collage and crafts

Theme is: Circles
Pocket Packet Fridays is a theme oriented art challenge for Fridays

This theme will be very fast paced

Theme will be up on Friday 8 PM closed Sunday at 8 PM CST and a winner will be
chosen from a hat of all of the entries. One entry per member.

Pocket Packet will be mailed on Monday Morning.

Ohhh and what is a pocket packet you ask? It's an ephemera art goodie packet of this and that, bits and pieces in a pocket

This week's theme is Circles and you decide how to interpret the theme.

There are no size restrictions, any medium.

You must post your art piece here ON THIS POST, one art item per member and the winner will be chosen out of a hat Sunday night, so there is no pressure on your design, just quick fun!

We will be doing this every Friday from now til middle of May so please come back each week to play again!

Have fun, I look forward to seeing some fabulous art pieces! Please post them here

Hi Everyone- I just wanted to check in so no one forgets me!! I am adding this for your viewing pleasures, BUT, it isn't new. I am down and OUT with the flu, so no new art for me. So don't count it for the drawing. HUGS- Lee

My scanner cut off part of the image. All the circles are full circles. The dog is cut out of a magazine and I added metallic blue acrylic paint in spots for fun. It's just something silly I did having to do with circles. It is on a paper bag. I used paints, paper, glue, markers, oil crayon, and glitter deco pauge glue to cover the design.

I like your design, Lee. Hope you are feeling better soon. I was out with the flu earlier this week. Ick!

Well here is my entry. Not my usual style although I have done backgrounds using this sort of collage technique with ripped paper before.

First of all a sketch - does anybody ever sketch work before starting it? As a painter, it is second nature to me and is actually one of the reasons why I moved so easily into atc/aceo before taking up mixed media. Anyway this is how I saw the idea

And now for the actual ATC. Quite a difference but that is down to limitations with materials and physical size of the punch I used....

I was going to title it, " Living and breathing fishermen" but I am not happy with the outcome , however being time constrained it will have to stay as my entry. Still, you can't win them all!

Here's mine, from a wheel of fortune with the song: Here we go round in circles, like a bird up in the sky .... the print is a credit card statement.

Well, rats, it won't download. So, as usual for me-haha, I'll post it Tuesday from work on the blog, just because I so enjoyed doing it. And John, I did use a sketch for this one, which is new for me, but it really helped a lot. Who knows, I may redo it later on with more time. This one is wet was more like a trial run, but FUN. And I'm not set up right yet, crafting with the paper in your lap is not easy, heheheh.

Just a little working of the original idea as a digital image, used a scan of the first atc as source: added a little seaweed and resized the bubbles and gave them a similar colour to give them a little coherence. Thanks to Nancy Torsen for the some of the suggestions

Your entries are wonderful.
Mine is a Poem-ollage and the circle is a teabag fold I invented.
I wrote the poem from words pulled randomly from a paperbag of cut up words.
Good Luck everyone.
