I have had several members ask this question so I thought I would post it here for all.
Question: How do I take a photo and not have photo glare from the shiny objects on my art.
Answer: To photograph without glare, turn off your flash and photograph during daylight hours.
Preferably in the morning to mid afternoon is the best. Avoid direct sunlight. Find a nice bright spot near a window or even step outside and create a fun natural background.
very good advice Kim, I found this out the hard way by trial and error. As you say, keep out of direct sun; I use the dining table for macro photography - in the morning when the sun is on the other side of the house. Works well for me.
