I really have been in an experimenting mood recently :-) Something I always wanted to try was making my own molds for things to add to my scrapbooking and art pieces.
I did a little bit of research, and the simplest method is to use a silicone putty which consists of two compounds which have to be mixed together. You then press the object into the mixture, let the whole thing sit for a while until it hardens. I have explained the process in my blog which has an English translation:

Here are the first test pieces I made from clay:

The molds can be used for polymer clay, air-drying clay, chocolate, wax and what else you can think of.
The process is a lot of fun, and you can really add personal things to your creative artwork.
