Newbie Member To Do List

It's a little over whelming especially if this is your first ning network.
Here is a little to do list to get you started. If you need any help with any of this, do not hesitate to ask.
If you are too shy to ask on the forums or not sure where, send me a private message, I want you to know everything you need to make this network work for you.

1.Set up your profile page
2. Add your personal avatar
3 Add photos of your art, items for sale etc. (current photos only please) Please See Photo Rules
4 Add widgets on your profile page ie. Etsy, Shopit.com etc.
5. Add your blog feed on your profile page (RSS)
6. Read through the forum and introduce yourself, stop by the coffee lounge too!
7. Post your blog link on the bloggers unite forum.
8. Post your listings, to etsy, ebay, your website and show us the pics and links to these items
9. Start a group
10. Join Groups!
11. Visit Profiles, leave comments and add new friend contacts!
12. Spend some time viewing and downloading the photos for fabulous inspiration!
13. Add slide shows of your finished art photos on your blogs, websites etc.
14. Join Etsy, eBay, Flickr, squidoo, zazzle, cafe press and the million other places we are going to list for you to get the message and the products out.

15. Make noise on the forums!

Okay I have no idea what a widget is-Please help!, and what are post listing? I'm so new to this you probably get all sorts of questions from me. I hope you have a lot of patience.

Hi Donna,

Posting listings are items you are selling somewhere. Like if you just listed some card art on Etsy, then show us where the items are posted. You can give us links that take us direct to the items or show us pictures etc.

Widgets, are fun gadgets that different selling venues will give you to post on other websites.

Here is an Etsy widget except they call it an Etsy mini

Flickr picture trail have slide show widgets, even here at PDA you can make what they call a slideshow badge to post on other sites.

If you look on your profile page you will also see a link called applications. Just under your mug shot.

If you click on it there are 33 different fun gadgets/widgets that you can add on your profile page. Have a peek and if there are some that you like try adding a couple for fun. If you run into any problems, just ask me for help.
