Hi Everyone,
Although we just newly have our 2009 Logos designed by
Valeriana it is not too soon to start thinking about the logos for 2010
2010 PDA Logo Challenge.
Some of you are reading this here first, that’s right it’s the 2010 PDA Logo Challenge.
I want to have a fun art logo for the site and why not let the members create it!
Here is the info:
Logo must be made up of three pieces.
Digital or non digital are both acceptable mediums.
1. A full size 8 x 10 (approximately) Art Creation created digitally or non-digital art scanned at 300 dpi
2. A banner 100 pxls x 760 pxls
3. A square Avatar 150pxls x 150 pxls
The 3 pieces don’t necessarily have to be the same but complimentary to each other would be important.
Images used in the creation must come from this site or be hand created by you using paints, fabric, texture etc.
No images from any other sites no matter how copyright free they are.
Art creations should be a reflection of what this site is about, what it represents to you.
May include text/words, but please keep in mind that we need room to add PDA info currently shown at the top of this ning network
Deadline is April 30, 2010 with a one week vote.
All entries will be posted on the PDA blog for a voters’ choice.
The winners Entry will be displayed in banner on the PDA Ning and on the PDA Blog as well as any other sites created within the year.
The Avatar will be used for advertising and promotional purposes.
Plus, we will be setting up 2 product selling sites on Zazzle and Café Press for PDA so that we can sell mugs, T-shirts, greeting cards etc with our new logo on it.
Winner gets bragging rights for an entire year as well as have the option to let us use the logo for product sales and receive 50% of all net profits of the Sold products created with the logo from both Zazzle and Café Press for the current year or until a new logo has replaced theirs. Please have a read on each of those sites to understand what the net profits would be on each site. We will probably work with a 25% markup on all items so a 50% net profit share would be equal to approx 12.5% the markup only.
Non winners and winners at the end of the one year term may choose to offer their art on products for sale in the two PDA shops and receive 25% of the net profits from the sale of their items. (6.25%)
Example:
If a t-shirt costs $10.00 and we add a 25% markup, the selling price would be $12.50
Net profit would be $2.50
50% of the markup is $1.25
25% of the markup is $0.63
The remaining profits will go back to help maintain the cost of the 2 PDA shops.
PDA will open 2 paid full sites (not the free sites)
Plus we will have some fun tripped out products made with your art!
Once the winner has been chosen, we will have a workshop on setting up your own stores. Workshop date to be announced.
This workshop is to get us as members to open our free Zazzle and Café Press shops as well as have the PDA stores on both sites.
You may enter logo sets as many times as you like.
Must be in complete sets of the 3 sizes.
I can’t wait to see some samples!
Happy creating!
